Joan's Story
Life
After graduating from St. Francis in 1964, I attended Wykeham Rise in Washington, CT, graduating in 1968, From there I went to the University of Notre Dame/Saint Mary's College in Indiana and graduated with a degree in Modern Languages, Government and Drama. Moved to Texas in 1972 with my first husband to attend graduate school at the University of Texas at Austin. Graduated with an MLS in 1974 and an MBA in 1980. Divorced in 1975 and married a second time in 1983. Twins , Nelson and Erin, were born in 1986, and another girl, Kyra Marie, was born in 1989. his own, in August 1996. After having lived in Texas almost 29 years, we moved to the Denver area in the summer of 2001 with Nelson and Kyra; Erin was more attached to her friends than the others, so she elected to stay in Texas with her father. After 20 years in corporate employment (IBM and Dell) I am now happily unemployed. I spend much of my time volunteering at Mullen High School, where Nelson will graduate in 2004, and at St. Mary's Academy, an all-girls' high school, where Kyra is entering her freshman year of high school. We have all enjoyed the change of seasons in Colorado and getting away from the oppressive allergies we endured in Texas. I would welcome hearing from any classmates.
