Bert's Story
Hi Everyone,
Winter is here again and soon a new year. We finally got the great news we had been waiting for. My daughter Jaimee and her husband Joe are expecting in June. Dianne and I are very excited and looking forward to being grandparents. We may know the babys sex when Jaimee visits at Christmas. Cassie has started grad school at Penn State and is doing very well. She may start doing some counseling next semester. Pretty soon she will be able to come visit and straighten out mom and dad.
We've had a busy year. Dianne has taken a couple of trips to see Jaimee in California. We took a trip to Florida and traveled to Savannah, Georgia, Dianne had to eat at Paula Deans restaurant. xperienced a lot of delicious southern cooking. We've taken 3 trips to State College, Pennsylvania to see Cassie. One of the highlights of this year was attending my class reunion and catching up with old friends. Bad thing is you never have enough time at these gatherings to spend time with all your friends. All this travel is the reason why my basement and back yard are still not totally finished. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.
We are really looking forward to the new year, a new grandchild which means a lot of travel to Ca. Would like to go back to Hawaiia and we have been trying to plan a trip to Europe but, with Cassie at Penn State and Jaimee with a new baby, we will be seeing a lot of California and Pennsylvania.
