Beth's Story
Life
Since high school, I was in the Army Reserves for 8 years. I started off as a medic then went to school for my LPN. I met my now ex-husband there. We were in the 396th CSH in Vancouver, WA. I was 19 when we married. We lived in Albany,Or for 3 yrs before my then husband, James, decided to go active duty and we moved here to Alaska. We were stationed in Fairbanks for 3 years. We had our first child there. Braydan was born in 1997. We then moved to Anchorage. I worked for 2 years for one of the hospital laboratories before going to work for the Alaska Heart Institute. I work as a LPN for TWO of the Doctors here and love it . My second child was born here in Anchorage in April 2004. Her name is Mckenna. Life has definatley had its ups and downs. married to a wonderful woman and currently they live in Florida. Mom is a biker babe and lives in Washington still, and after 13 years of marriage i filed for divorce. I am now in a very wornderful relationship with a great guy. This is how life should be.
Military
I joined the Army Reserves when I was 17 and left home. I went to basic training at Ft Leonard Wood, Mo. Then went to Ft Sam Houston, TX for AIT for 91 B school, Medical Specialist. I then went back to Washington and joined my Reserve Unit the 45th Station hospital. I met my then husband there. A short time after our unit was disolved and we merged with another unit to become the 396th CSH. After a year or two I went on to LPN school. I graduated in 1995. Shortly there after we moved to Alaska as my then husband went active duty.
