Beth's Story
Life
Reside in Las Vegas, Nevada - Brian joined the AF so we went to CO, then TX then VA where I joined myself to gain a career - wanted to be a cryptologist, but AF wouldn't let me because Brian had relatives in Russia and East Berlin. Started all of this moving from Roseville in Dec 1973. LOVED living in Virginia while in the AF (best time of my life) Joined Air Force in 76 Got out in 82. Own an internet development company and been involved with computers since 74. Married 37 years to Brian have two boys David 37 and Nicolas 28. Proud grandmother of little girl Trinity (6). 2 dogs shih-tzu. Miss the snow. Recent events haven't been the best, had a heart attack in Jan of 2006 90% left artery blocked, got 2 stents. Stopped smoking on the date of the heart attack, then several dogs died, worked an enormous amount of time as a Business and Systems Analyst for the Carpenters union, travel...Expand for more
ed throughout US and Canada to gather requirements. Averaged 70 hours or more a week. Some nights 2 hours of sleep. Contract terminated at union. Had another heart attack on Oct 15th 2008 received 1 stent in my right artery (95%) blocked which led docs to diagnose diabetes (that's what caused the speed up of the hear clogs.), had the right stent strengthened in Feb 2010 because the 1st one was too small. Mother had breast cancer, Dad developed colon cancer and passed away Dec 22, 2008 - had a very hard time with that and almost lost all control. A VERY hard time. Just wanted to update this in case anyone else is going through this kind of stuff.
Wondering what's happened to a few people I knew. Derinda Atkins, Paul Hooper, Michael Pinkleton, Eric Smiley, Terry (don't remember her last name - hung out with her and Sue Anthony a lot) - just a few that I really remember in a very good way
