Life Moved to El Paso Texas in l982. Stayed...must be the lithium in the water!!! Was a Democratic precinct chair for 12 years, serving on local and state convention committees (Resolutions being my favorite), until I became disillusioned with politics...or maybe it was just the political process itself (less government, more personal responsibility) A strong prochoice advocate and clinic escort (taking patients across protest lines) in what little free time I had. Still a "rabble rouser"!! People can still count on me to make them laugh..or at least keep them entertained!! Completed a doctorate program through University of Florida and graduated December 18, 2004 {calling Dr. Beth :) }. A work in progress---may be completed before I leave this world, if I am at all lucky. School Favorite moments..there were SO many of them! - "flying" in choir robes before performances - Mr. Lundberg forcing Madrigals to perform in the front office because we were acting up - French class puppet show at the junior high (where is "Gignol" these days?) - Senior class prank....thinking Bob Sizemore's car following us behind the parking lot was a police car!..Timberlog editorial for which I caught hell! - Going to state for Basketball in 1972-73 (Go Blazers!!) - butting heads with Ms. Hawthorne, learning it was ok to disagree (thanks Patt!) - hating Ms. Thomas' college prep writing because she did "extra credit", so you had to leave SOME OTHER class to attend the stupid events (big waste of time!) - walking into USCR with bound feet like the Chinese women we were studying, and Mr. Kerihard trying very hard not to laugh - playing "Diplomacy" in USCR, and England stabbed us poor R...Expand for more
