Beth's Story
Well, it has been a long and winding road......After high school, I got a psychology degree from SUNY Albany. I moved back home, worked for the Town of Islip, in a law enforcement division during the next 17 years!! During that time I: got engaged, got married, had a son while still living in Islip, moved to Sayville, found out that my son had autism, got divorced, and moved back to CI with my parents. While living there, still working for the town, I went to grad school to become a guidance counselor. I met my current husband during this time, who had two children of his own who are twins a year older than my son....Expand for more
Life went on like this for a few years, an instant family of 5.....In 2000, I graduated from grad school with my masters, got a new job. The next year, I got engaged and bought a new house. I got re-married in 2002. My son is now 17, the twins are 18 and I have been in my new job for almost 10 years !!!! Life has been crazy but productive and fun at the same time. I have been often told that I live life too quickly and am always busy......sometimes I feel like I am making up for lost time when times were bad.......Life is good and I try to be thankful and live every day to the max!!....Boy, am I tired....!!!lol
