Beth's Story
After IHS, I attended UW and graduated in Music with almost a double degree in Scandinavian Studies. Traveled a bit and worked in the mortgage and escrow industry. I've been a gigging musician since high school (piano, flute, guitar, voice), and lately Ive been focusing on the harp.
I'm happily married for 25 years to Jack Kollé, originally from the Netherlands and then California, and who did his geophysics graduate work at UW and then decided to stay...Expand for more
in the NW. We have two grown kids, Lily and Reijer, of whom we are excessively proud.
Occasionally I organize tours of folk harpers to Scandinavia where we bop around in a big bus and play concerts (when we're not gaping at the gorgeous scenery). I've been learning (belatedly) to ride horses, something my best friend got me into, and I'm having a blast! When we're not gigging as the Greensleeves Duo, we're trotting through the Central Forest on Vashon.
