Beth's Story
I was born in Hartford CT.
My family moved to Manchester just after Christmas in 1950 Mom, Dad, 1 brother and 2 sisters. My parents bought a house on Woodbridge Street and it was a good place to grow up. I went to Bowers Elementary from 1950 through 1956 Miss Granstrom was the principal,
In the fall of 1956 I started the 7th grade, there was no Jr. hi then so they put us in the great big brand new high school. I graduated from
M. H. S. in 1962 and the following September I started at Prince Tech in Hartford in the "Beauty Culture" department, I graduated in 1964 and passed my State Boar...Expand for more
d and became a hair stylist, Bought my first New car in 1965 a White Chevy Malibu, boy did I love that car.
I met my husband in 1966. He was the manager of The Gretschmen a rock group that was playing there.
I stayed in CT until May 1967, when I packed up and flew to CA where I have lived ever since. We opened our first music store in 1970 and were active in the business in the L A area until 1990 when we Retired (joke) we moved to Northern CA, for a change of pace we were in the food business which was a lot of fun, eventually opened another Music store which we still own and operate.
