Beth's Story
My story...
Considering I picked one subject a year at CHS in which to get a D [Mr. Daniels' Latin class was the first], I did manage to take a more serious view of school and ended up with my PhD from Miami University. Who knew!
I retired from teaching second grade in 2003 and began teaching at the University of Dayton. I'm still there and hope to be for a while yet.
I am married to an awesome man named Jim. We've only been married four years. We live outside of Dayton, Ohio on 3 acres, with 2 dogs and a cat we inherited with the house we bought.
We are in the process of becoming the "parents" ...Expand for more
of my brother's son Rafael, who will be attending UD starting in a few short weeks! My brother passed away suddenly in May of 2008 and my sister-in-law just passed away in July of this year.
Isn't it strange how life takes so many twists and turns. I'm anxious to read about all of you!
I hope to be at the reunion in October. It's the same weekend my cousin [Gary Stephens...brother of Marc with a "c" Stephens '69] has his only daughter being married in Columbus. I have some major planning to do...but may at least come up for the game and/or for anything going on Sunday.
