Bethany's Story
Life
I have been married for 9 years to Andrew Duval Sr. We have 2 children, AJ (Andrew Jr) and Lea Olivia. AJ started kindergarten this past fall and is doing well. Lea is 19 months old now and is a mirror image of me at that age.
I've been working as a School Nurse in Plainfield for 5 years and I also teach Paramedic Students out of American Ambulance's education department. My husband is a Paramedic graduating from the first class offered at AASI 3 years ago--we told everyone the reason I was teaching in the course was to spend time with him.
We have a house in the area and our other "children" are three dogs--Rex, Cinders, and Maxwell. Rex and Cinders are dalmatians--oh, did I m...Expand for more
ention my husband is a firefighter, too?--Cinders is completely deaf and learned 30 signs from the American Sign Language. Rex is just a big lug who thinks he's a lap dog. Maxwell is a heinz 57 dog we rescued 3 years ago who loves to run whenever he gets the chance to "escape".
Typical nurse, I have also worked in other environments as well--home care, critical care, nursing home, and day care. My first love is my kids, though. I have 400 4th and 5th graders in my care every day and they swing emotionally and maturely from babies to teens in the blink of an eye. I also have the responsiblity of teaching them all about Puberty--the conversations are never dull, I assure you!
