Betsy's Story
Well, I graduated in 1979 from SSHS, now only SHS. I went to UWS for close to two years, started out as a Biology major, switched to English, and then just stopped attending classes. I traveled to California with Joan Semborski and Nancy Sharti. I got a clerking job at a defense contractor in Pomona California called General Dynamics. I worked there 8 years. omona and became a stay at home mom. Kelly was born a short time later. My husband got transfered to Minnesota and we lived in East Bethel for 10 years.
We moved to Olney Maryland for better job opportunities. I finally finished that Biology degree in 2007 at the University of Maryland. I currently am employed by the National Cancer Institute, part of the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Maryland. Our lab works in lung cancer research. Definitely the smartest people I have ever met.
