Betsy's Story
I graduated, went to school for a year, got married, married a jerk, got a divorce and finally got out. Best thing I ever did! I dated a nice guy for 21 years but I felt as if something was missing from that relationship. Then I met the love of my life. Tom and I are very happy together and we hope to make it official very soon. I live with my cat and enjoy working in my yard when the weather is nice. I love to be outside and spend all my time there when the weather is nice. I love to laugh and always find humor is most situations (sometimes even if it's not so appropriate). I guess I'm still like I was in high school for the most part even though life hasn't always been so kind to me. I don't work anymore as my diabetes has taken it's toll on my eyesight. I have vision issues...Expand for more
but this has not changed my outlook on life or my spirit. I feel blessed that I'm not totally blind. I still see fairly well and can function in society (with a few trips or tumbles when navigating curbs and stumps-- I think most people probably think I've just been drinking and I have to laugh at myself!!) I'm probably one of the few people in the world that loves to quilt or tole paint (although my vision limits these hobbies) and listen to AC/DC, Def Leppard or Bad Company! So that's really more info than anyone needed but I do still have the gift of gab!! I absolutely love the beach and my parents have a place there so I try to go as often as possible in the summer!!
