Betsy's Story
I was reading about a theater in San Francisco holding a viewing of a forty year old version of the movie Romeo and Juliet and thought how outdated it must be (and then realized I saw it as a new release my senior year in high school!) How time has flown!
As I approach my 57th birthday, my thoughts travel back to Coon Rapids - and especially to my time in high school. That time was wonderful for me. I have upgraded my membership to Classmates in hope that I might rekindle some past relationships - or make new ones with people I perhaps didn't know well.
I feel at times that I have lived several lives. I moved from Minnesota in my mid-20's, and have lived in Denver, Phoenix, and San Francisco in the interim. I am right now splitting my time between a house in Phoenix and a condo in San Francisco. I quit working for others abou...Expand for more
t five years ago, dabble in real estate, am part owner in a wine shop, and travel whenever I can.
Some may remember that I married young (before we graduated). We divorced in the 80's and I was single for almost a decade when I met my darling husband, Jim. We've been married now for a long time and I hardly remember my life without him. We brought together a blended family of four children and have two granddaughters that we cherish.
I stay pretty active, walking or hiking daily and doing yoga two or three days a week. I am rebuilding my health after nearly blowing my adrenal system working for a real estate development company, traveling and designing and opening properties (multi-family) all over the Western U.S. for over a decade. More stress than I imagined possible!
