Bette's Story
After graduating from Calhoun I went to St. John's U where I earned a BS in Pharmacy. I worked in various retail pharmacies and at Mercy Hospital and North Shore Hospital before buying a retail store with my husband Gary Ribis in 1982. I am also a Nutritionist and in addition to working at an independent pharmacy in Oceanside I do nutritional counselling.

duated from Calhoun! So did my son-in-law, RJ Gencorelli and my daughter-in-law, Diana Barranco (married to Bobby). My son Gary is also married (to Dara) and lives in Albany. Katie & RJ have three children - Charlotte, Robbie, and Samantha;; Gary & Dara have a baby boy, Barry. My brother Ed still lives on Long Island too, with his wife Karen and my two nephews, Kyle and Ryan. My husband and I separated after a 30+ year marriage..
