Betty's Story
Betty Bain Hicks died of respiratory/cardiac problems on August 17, 2015 after a lengthy stay at Mother Francis Trinity Hospital in Tyler, TX. This profile was set up by her husband in her memory and to let any "old" friends who knew Betty be aware of her history since graduation. One of these friends, Dell Deere, moved to Whitehouse, TX, a few years after Betty did. They remained lifelong friends.

Betty began working at the General Electric plant in Tyler in June 1977. The company changed several times to become part of Ingersoll Rand (Trane) and Betty remained through each transfer. She retired June 2014 after working there for 37 years.
Betty gave birth to a son on March 27, 1979. She eventually gave birth to a daughter on March 16, 1987. Betty had three grandchildren: Bry-Ann Nichole (December 5, 2007), Tommy Leslie (October 12, 2008), and Kinley Grace (November 22, 2014). Betty will always be remembered as a loving and faithful wife, mother, and grandmother.
