Betty's Story
Nickname Pinky
Musician since 1980 as seen in my music years photos. What a roller coaster that has been! And one the most wonderful things in my life.
What ranks the highest however, is my Husband, my children and my beautiful grandchildren. God of course being the utmost above all in my life. He is what makes it all work.
I have three children, Patrick (deseased), Jennifer, my only daughter, Jesse my son and 4 step children.
Russell whom I will always share with his mother, Sandy. Laura is Ben's daughter, Ben Jr. his son, and Justus the youngest son.
In 88 I lost my first born Patrick in a 4 wheeler accident. It was the turning point of my life. A very hard time for me. Without Gods love and guidance I would never have made it through.
When my life fell into very small pieces I left the desert after 40 years and moved to Montana in 1992. I worked as a maid (since music was all I knew) until I got a job as a Karaoke hostess. I have a BIG respect for the maids of this world. Hard work, and very little pay. Karaoke is where I met the man who made me believe that there are still good men out there. A...Expand for more
t least one who can handle me. LOL He treats me like the Queen of his double wide. We have been happily married for 14 years. Together we have 14 grandchildren. And they are all wonderful!
I was in an all girl band for 9 years called Angelheart here in Montana. Curtis joined the girls and I after about 7 years. No longer was it an all girl band. Arthritis was the main reason I had to finally retire. Carrying equiptment got hard to do. Now if I go out to sing somewhere, I take a little C.D. with backgrounds on it. Much easier.
I still play piano and I am the music director of the worship team at the Assembly of God in C. Falls and have been there 13 years. It is very rewarding!
I miss the desert only in the winter. Otherwise I am happy to be a Montanan. My dear friend Jackie Wainford Ortiz comes to see me every year and I am always so grateful to see her. Thanks Jackie for being my friend all these years.
The one person from my past I'd most like to see again is Mary Stone. She was a dear friend and moved in our Sophomore year to Yakima Washington. I have not seen her since. Has anyone seen Mary?
