Betty Burdette:  

Life My name is, Betty Burdette, and you probably remember me as the only married senior. For several years my husband,Fred Burdette, and I lived in Herndon, Va., I ran a day care center in my own home for four years, then tried my hand at office work with a secret clearance for a group of engineers with Naval contracts in Ocenanographic Data. 1970, My Fred contracted to brick McDonald restaurants with Rick Taylor in VA, and later we moved to Fayette County, Beckley, WV for him to work with Treadway's Masonery Co.. I attended College of West Virginia , extension of WVU (1982 -and 1983) . We had four children, two are living (beautiful girls), and nine grandchildren. On good Friday, April 10, 1993, my husband and only son were in a tragic accident in Gulf of Mexico. There were four family members in the ocean for 141/2 hours, one lived to tell what happened. God has blessed me with being publilshed by The Library of Congress; The International Library of Poetry, Watermark Press, and Nobel House Publishiers, London, UK.
