Betty's Story
Life
Well, life has a way of changing on us, doesn't it...I no longer work at LeBonheur. After 29 years there, I moved over to St. Jude. Never thought I would work there. I always thought it would be too intense for me. It is, some days! Been there since September of 2008. I am a sedation nurse in the Diagnostic Imaging department. One of 20! That is a big difference from LeBonheur. The hospital is a truly amazing place. What a blessing to these children and their parents! I think it is one of the best work environments in Memphis too!...
Hi classmates. My life is pretty much what I thought it would be. I am a sedation nurse at LeBonheur Hospital, have a great husband and two boys--Jason, 26yrs old, working and paying his own bills (Yay!!!) and Jon, 24 yrs old, married and starting dental school this August. God has been good to me, blessing me with a great husband and kids, and a job that I love.
I became Biker Betty 2 years ago when my hubby bought our Harley. I never thought I would love it as much as I do! We have been to Daytona Beach BikeWeek (we rode all the way--no trailoring the bike for us) about 3000 miles roundtrip, and we just got back from Texas (San Antonio...Expand for more
and Austin), coming back 680 miles in one day.
Randy and I make frequest trips to Dauphin Island, AL where my parents now live. My brother Vic lives in Seattle, WA and has a great wife, 4 daughters and a grandbaby on the way. Richard lives in Orange Beach and Jerry lives in Arlington, TN. Jerry has twin daughters and a great wife. Richard is single.
Here's a hint on how to send me an email...Let's see...my address bettywoolfolk at (starts with a Y--) Hoo! Hoo! See ya!

Workplace
I am known as the "Starlight Nurse". A great program. A room where children can be sedated for painful or scary procedures. Painted in sunset colors witha beach with starfish on it around the base of the room, glow in the dark stars and planets and rocketships across the sky...a bubble tube that changes colors...My wonderful work space is sometimes called the "Starlight Lounge"! If you are interested in the Starlight Room, read my bio for a hint as to how to reach me thru email and I will send you a link to site that includes a little about my service--and as we are in the midst of a capital campaign to build a new LeBonheur, support your local childrens hospital!!!!
