Betty's Story
Still married to Ray Webb after 47 years! I work part-time as an administrative assistant to an attorney in Southport. I have two beautiful daughters and five fantastic grandchildren the oldest of which is in college at Elon University. My husband and I became Christians in our 20's and he sang with a Gospel Group for 6 years before the Lord called us into full-time ministry. He went back to school and has been a pastor for over 30 years. We have been at Beach Road Baptist Chuch in Southport, NC for the past 21 years. nd is 89 years old. She remarried 9 years after my dad died. My step-father passed away on December 8, 2009(B.W. Preston). He was like a dad to me for 43 years. They had to move from Burnett Boulevard where I grew up to move in with my sister because of their health. Ray and I have always loved dogs and have had some great ones over the years. We presently have an AKC Bluetick Beagle named "Toby" who is 3 years old and he is spoiled rotten. We had a Beagle named "Andy" for 15 years and it really hurt us when he died.
