Betty's Story
From 1st grade to 8th grade, I went to school in Manzanola. Freshman to graduation at Rocky Ford High School. I married Charlie Grasmick in 1963 and we divorced in 1972. Over the years I have attended classes at La Junta Junior College, Lamar Community College and Pueblo Community College. We have three great kids: Phillip who owns a home improvement business in Denver, Tim is a Lt. in the Navy stationed in Maryland and our angel, Charlene, works full time for Hospice in La Junta, CO.

ng Clerk (for reimbusement purposes) until 1995. I married a very handsome Firefighter, Emery Murray, that worked at Ft. Lyon in 1989. He is my best friend. Between us, we have five kids and seven spoiled grandkids. We have been married 20 years.
We are both retired but he is one of those people that has to do something so he works as Maintenance at a Senior Housing Community. Me, give me a computer and TV and I'm happy. My hobbies include supporting school sports and genealogy for Morgan, Goodrow, Covalt, Swisher, Grasmick, Brandt, Murray & Hamm. I enjoy visits with the kids and grandkids.
