Betty's Story
Life
I am Betty Robinson Rucker, class of '68. After graduating from Washington High School, I attened Morris Brown College where I recieved my B.S. degree and then on to Clark Atlanta University for my Masters and I got my ED.S from Georgia State University. I currently reside in Conley Ga. which is about ten miles outside of the wonderful city of Atlanta. I have two wonderful children, really four counting my son-in-law and daughter in law. My daughter is a High Achievers teacher in the The Atlanta Public School System. She earned her PH.D from Clark Atlanta University this past year. My son is an independent RF engineer and a proud graduate of Morehouse College. I have three beautiful grands, 2 boys and a very bossy little girl.

s of service. I taught 7th grade before being promoted to Instructional Lead Teacher and then to a principalship. My last years were served as an Assistant to the Area Superintendent. In December of 2006, Pine Ridge Elementary School (the last school where I served as principal) named a wing in my honor. I enjoyed my years as an educator, but I look forward to a much deserved and needed retirement.
I spend my time doing volunteer work with my church and juvenile court..... and taking care of the grandchildren. I love to travel and have done so with my sorority, Delta Sigma Theta. Over the past five years , we have gone to South Africa, China and Europe. Alaska and Australia are on my bucket list of places to go.
If any of you are ever in or near the great city of Atlanta, please look me up!
