Betty's Story
Life
I taught English at FDR from January, 1969 until June, 2004. I taught everything from drama electives through modified English to SAT Prep and A.P. English. I loved every minute and almost every student. After 35 1/2 years, it was time to retire. The English Department gave me a wonderful party that almost 100 people attended! sh teachers in the New York City Teaching Fellows Program at Brooklyn College Graduate School. I am also supervising a dozen new teachers and student teachers at schools around Brooklyn.
