Betty's Story
I married my high school sweet heart in 1973, we had 3 beautiful children. I moved to Kentucky in 1979, to seek a new start after my divorce. I worked as a deputy jailer in the local jail on the weekends and a school bus driver during the week. I remarried in 1982, and once again became a mother to twin daughters in 1983 and was a stay at home mom for 5 years. But in 1988, we divorced due to his need to experiment with today's social highs, if you know what I mean. Not something you want to bring your children up around. t my pocket book, but I would do it all over again in a heart beat. My children are my world, but part of my world was taken away from me on June 27,2006 when I lost my oldest daughter (32 years old ) to a rare disorder called fibro-muscular-displasha. She was pregnant with her second daughter when they diagnosed her with the disorder. When she was 7 months along in her pregnancy she went into labor, Taylor Brooke was born and we were able to be with her for 2 hours before we lost her as well. There are many times I cry for I miss her so much, but my faith in GOD and knowing that she is heaven and not in pain no longer keeps me going. I cherish her daughter Courtney who is now 10 years old, she is my sunshine. I also have a beautiful grandson Jaxson who is 16 months old, and a handful. He is known as the mayor at his daycare. My motto in life is to not think of what could have been but to live for today and grasp every chance to tell your children YOU LOVE THEM!!!
