Betty's Story
I have been living in Washington, DC since 86. I have three adult children 37, 29, and 20. My youngest (Jelani) is currently attending college in Ohio. My oldest (Kenya) is a funeral director in Memphis, TN. My oldest son (Ajani) is a graphic designer in Maryland. He's married and expecting a child next year. frocentric, you know the story. I fell in love with my blackness and history of my people. I've been with my husband since 1976 and all is well with us. Although, I've lived in DC since 86 ALL of my immediate family is still in the chicago area, therefore, Chicago is still home. My wish for the near future is that Barack Obama hurry and get to DC so that we can get this nation back into some kind of order and that all who read this site are blessed.
