Betty's Story
That you can be happy without the"happy ending"
To be truly happy, my husband, Gerry, would still be alive and we would be living in Virginia.
Kind.
I always wanted to be a Mom when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a great idea. As it turns out, they were right.
to blow off steam, I yell a lot! Read a good book to relax
Can't remember-guess it was taking Pat Schafer's mom's car out one night nobody had drivers license or brains for that matter
If I'm going to work somewhere, I need to have time, make a boat load of money, and perks to be able to deal witMyh the day-to-day.
My husband, Gerry will always be my hero. I watched him suffer with strokes for 5 years, and become completely helpless before he died and he never lost his sense of humor and was never bitter.
I have lived in El Paso, San Diego, Vandenberg AFB, CA., Lompoc, Calif., Santa maria, CA. San Antonio, TX, Omaha, Neb. Bremerhaven, Germany, little Rock Arkansas, Fort Bragg, North
Carolina, Rockwall, Texas and Woodbridge , VA. My Husband was career military and his civilian job also transfered him a lot.
The one person from my past who I'd most like to see again is Wilman Barnes, because he was my first love..
I like...Expand for more
to read, play golf, travel, and be lazy
My biggest surprise in life is there is no happily ever after
I have learned that my kids are much smarter than I am
I would like to see Mrs. Musick again because she made me love English and was a wonderful teacher
If I won $100 million, I'd give some of it to church, then spend the rest on my kids, me and certain friends.
No, No, and No!
To be truly happy, I would be fishing on our river in Virginia with Gerry, he would be well and the fish would be biting!
My current age is 74. When I was 12, I thought that people my age now would be REALLY OLD. I was so completely wrong.
My first crush passed away several tears ago.
My best friend would tell you I'm crazy, but people who don't know me very well would probably describe me as sorta quite..
No! Can't wear the heels, darn it!
I share my home with me, which I find I really like.
I was made a Lifetime member of VICA several years ago, because of all the time I had contributed to helping the kids
Can't think of a thing I would change it I could do it over. That would mean missing some wonderful things that have happened to me. Like the song says, "I'd have missed the pain, but I'd have missed the Dance!"
