Betty's Story
This site is so boring... I know some of us '66 Billies must be doing something-- or at least have done something-- really entertaining to share with the rest of us! Are we all so old?
I just went through the Great Napa Earthquake, that ruined millions of gallons of some of the best wine in the world. We are grieving! So, if you are a collector, this year's Napa harvest will be very expensive! It was an early harvest and a dry summer, so I think those little grapes were stupendous. Funny thing is, I don't really drink, haha!
I spent a decade being a wandering hippie-- I have lots of good stories from that time. Then a decade having babies and trying to tame my husband, unsuccessfully. With two little girls to raise, I had to settle down in the '90s and teach, so things get a tad more boring after that. But now they are finally grown and successful on their own, so I'm working on making my life a little more outrageous again!
Anyone want to come to Cali and find a little mischief with me, I'm game!

I am retired from a wonderful career as a teacher, mostly junior high-- they are crazy funny at school... a little secret parents don't know! Both my daughters graduated from Cal (Go Bears) and live in Oakland, close enough to make mommy happy. I live with my little dog and two cats who think they are dogs, too, in a classic California Bungalow with original Sears windows (homeowners will know what I'm sayin'). I had to go to Buffalo to see my Dad in March, but that was the only time I have touched snow in over 30 years! The Sierras are gorgeous in the summer, too!
I never cared at all about the past until I turned 60... then I started to wonder, what ever happened to... ? I'd love to hear from old friends, whether I remember you or not (haha) and reconnect at this new stage of life.
