Betty's Story
Life
I lived in Texas until 1952 when my family moved to Arizona. I attended school in Texas my first 7 1/2 years. The rest in Arizona.
I married August, 1957, right out of high school to a guy who was in the same school as I. He joined the Air Force in 1957. We lived in Illinois for 9 weeks and 18 months in Georgia. He went overseas for a year and I went back home and lived with my folks.
Our daughter, Linda, was born in Georgia on 9/9/58. Three years later we welcomed our son, Chuck, 9/21/61.
We owned and operated a service station in Phoenix and Flagstaff for 13 years. Living in Flag gave both of us the chance to go to college.
I majored in math and accounting. My husband majored in business.

ke Havasu City, AZ in 1971 to begin our new vocation of teaching. I taught high school and junior college math for 23 years. I retired teaching in 1993. Whew.
I would love to hear from any of my friends I left behind in Texas and Arizona. Write me when you can.
I'm 70 now and sometimes dream of being so much younger. I was so active for years. In retirement, the aches and pains are really taking over my body. I am so lucky to have inherited my medical problems from both Mother and Daddy.
I did so much love teaching and coaching. There are so many wonderful memories for me. So God Bless those of you whom I influenced a little bit and helped in your adult lives.
