Beverly's Story
Life
Ater graduating from high school I attended Teachers' College for 2 yrs. in Truro. I taught school in Dartmouth and Married Bill Tucker in Oct 1969. We moved to Hamilton , Ontario and I had one child, a boy, whom we named after his dad. He is now 37 yrs. old. I started working for the Ministry of Health in Jan. 1973 and retired June 30,2006. In 1995, I applied for a job through the Ministry in Owen Sound, On. It is a small community in north western Ontario and reminds us of Nova Scotia. We moved here in July 1995. Our son, his wife and son moved from Hamilton to this area in 2000. Our grandson is 10 yrs. old and his name is Willie ( tradition) We live out in the country and enjoy it after city living. I love spending time with my family, friends and grandson. Come home to N.S. EVERY 2 YRS. Still feel young at heart and love having fun and lots of laughs. Enjoy retirement im...Expand for more
mensely and I am busier than when I worked. I am blessed with good health and other than a FEW lines and wrinkles I look even better than when I was in high school. I think I've improved with age like a fine wine, a lot wiser too!!! I plan on being around until at least "100". I love life and I do have faith in the hereafter. I'm having too much fun to leave for quite some time yet. I love to dance and still dance all night long when given the opportunity. I have done a lot of travelling to Israel, Italy, England, Florida, Mexico ( 4 times , my favorite spot) Las Vegas, Hawaii, Cuba and across Canada. These days I would rather go swimming, bumper boats, go carting, hiking, etc. with my grandson. We have a blast together.Bill and I enjoy yard sales, fishing, hiking, movies ,reading and quiet evenings together. I have been blessed many times over and look forward to many fun times.
