OK everyone who visits-I need proof of who you are-do bios and pics PLEASE. I love seeing who is on line.Hi to Jim and Sandi. I retired from teaching school on Nov. of 2007 first. I now am only teaching my horseback riding program. I help friends get stuff done too. I am going to try to reorganize my house of 35 years!! I am Beverly Day(Phillips) from Bridge street, Hamilton,MA. and DeLand Florida( short, blonde loud mouth with a bad case of ADHD) I lived next to the Grahams, in Hamilton and rode horses, skiid and loved everyone!! I moved to Florida in 1965 and lived Hamilton some of each of 4 years. I actually walked the line at DeLand High School in Florida, in 1968--just like you! Church before surfing, I still count Hamilton as my HOME with Florida as the fun teen memories!!! Patton Park, 4th of July bonfires, skating, polo, bowling, Town Hall, Julie and Michael's braces locking at movies, Crane's Beach, Town Hill in Ipswich, the train to anywhere, Carmelite skateboarding, the Paper Store, the Bakery, "The Lake", Clark's ski tow, Myopia, walking the rail bed, Harrigan's, the pit, Mrs. Hayes, Mrs. Watson, Mrs. Hurley, Miss Crabtree, Mr. Coffin, the Rumrills from California, wrestling matches, Clock's, Horn's Corner, St. Paul's and Sat. confession--I had to go first becasue I had to say the most pennence, the Walsh Twin's party and exploding ginger ale, North Shore Shopping Center, Hoodsies, from Cherry Hill Dairy, rope swings on the river, girl scout campouts, trail rides, blueberry picking, Jr. High Basketball and track Ring any Bells? Surfing, Mr. Gold, The Piava's, Nancy Faibisy, the Saxons. Pat Hennessee, David Davies,the Davis brothers, the Beckers, Joan, Pam, Nash, Ball GAmes, Jim Moses, Bill McC, Cliff and sufing and whoever else we can think of--too much fun for a bunch of kids--I'm still having fun!
I still ride horses, I was a surfer in Florida. I have several college degress and have been teaching Special Ed. for 34 years--among a few other things. I also teach riding to 6 Autistic children, some non disabled children and adults. I ha...Expand for more
ve been married to Joe for 38 years. WE adopted Dianne. Prayers for children these days!! I have had cancer 3 times and am fine now. I was fortunate the it was "all cut out" each time and I did not have to do chemo or radiation. I have had 15 concussions in the course of my life. Only 4 on horseback! IN Jan. of 2009 I had a complete right knee replacement--back on a horse in 4 months. Life is good I retired on Nov. first of 2007 Nothing special just a good life with ups and downs. I had to take care of my mother for 18 years due to a massive stroke and helped with my dad who had brain cancer. He died just after watching the US beat the Russians in ice Hockey at the Olympics in 1980. He waited for it, I'm sure. Julie Bick lives near me and Robert Ayers ( AKA Reb)come from a few hours from my home. My husband played for the NY Yankees for a few years. I helped a boy through high school in Shelby, NC and pushed him into being responsible and using his baseball talents. He took me to his Pro Baseball signing. He is Norris Hopper. He plays for the Washington Senators now-- Norris got a bum wrap by a bad injection from a doctor and was out for some crutial times. He is back for 2009 for a restricted contract--pray he makes it!! , I hope he makes it big. I dragged him out of bed to go to school a few times and stopped his cheating and got him to get his own real grades even as a special ed student. Brag Brag! I started a community soccer league, ski program, was on a new theater group start up ( NOW very big) I just support it and no longer belong , and helped get a Therapeutic Riding program off the ground. I now provide 5 ponies for that program. I am good at starting stuff an leaving it with others to finish or carry on. I am about 25 pounds overweight, 5' 1 3/4 " tall and graying blonde--YUK! I hope to get better looking and be tall and thin by the time I'm 60! Dream On my friends say. I go to church sometimes, I swear too much and love to laugh and find out about people.
