Beverly's Story
Just read my "story" and realized it needs a little updating. Mike and I still living in Northeast Baltimore - our neighborhood has made it on the map in Baltimore thanks to some great restaurants and music venues. It's great stimulate our local economy! I'm still at ManorCare on Joppa Rd in Towson - it will be 11 years this November. Being a department of one (Human Resources Director) has it challenges and rewards like so many careers. Mike is still with Baltimore City and we both hope to retire some day. My idea of retirement is to work 3 days a week...
Our daughter Sarah graduated from Boston University May 2010, stayed in Boston last summer and moved back to B-more in September working an Americorps job at House of Ruth. She hope to get back to Boston eventually and has a lot of friends and contacts the...Expand for more
re. She has been running a lot preparing for a 1/2 marathon this fall.
Mike's Dad is well as is my Mom and we are so fortunate Mom made it to Boston for Sarah's graduation last May. Mikes Dad was at George Washington Univ. attending our Mikes' sister's son graduation(same day and time as Sarah's - go figure). It was beautiful weather and great fun - we loved visiting her in Boston so will be ok with her moving back if that is what she wants.
Love the beach at North Carolina and Mike and I visited the Adirondacks for a few days after visiting his Dad in Vermont - nice to be awey from th heat for a while.
I hope all are well and I do hope our class is filled with politically progressive people cause our nation and our children need us to speak out against this right wing nonsense. Stay cool class of 71.
