Life I had a rough start when I left Farmington High School just months before graduation in 1982. Although I was unable to receive my diploma with my class, I did manage to be graduated from high school (via GED) later that year. My first son was born in April of 1984. I started college at Tunxis Community College in the fall of 1984 with a major in accounting, but did not continue when other aspects of my life took over. I met my first husband in 1985 and married him in 1987. I had another son in June 1989 and my last son in August 1990. Unfortunately, I was forced to choose between my husband and my children in 1991… I chose my children. I met my current husband online in 1992 and moved to Alabama in 1993 to be with him. We wed in 1995. I also returned to college in 1995 and was graduated from Calhoun Community College in 1998 from which I continued on to Athens State University and earned my BBA in December 2001. Okay, so it took me 17 ½ years to get through college; life isn’t always linear. I started working as an accountant in June 2002 and have been with the same company ever since.
