in high school I was a poverty stricken wall flower with one or two friends. Sharon Brice and Tony Pride. For those who remember--my life just sort of happened to me. I made the best of it. While a junior in high school I made the foolish mistake of falling in love and as a result I became pregnant the first time I had relations with the boy I loved. It turned out to be such a scandal, because I had a strict religious upbringing it shamed my Mother and our church. I had the baby and married at the early age of 17. Looking back I know now that through all my mistakes and missed steps I was still blessed. I became the mother of four beautiful kids... and over all, they had a good home life. Their father and I later divorced after nearly 18 years. Many years later my eldest son passed away at the age of 32.
