Beverly's Story
Life
Married right out of high school; so busy planning my dream wedding I almost flunked Sr yr. Oh well, I didn't & I'm still married to the same guy, just haven't lived together in a long time. But, we're great friends and it almost matters more that we are. My husband served in Vietnam with the Army. We have a dtr and a son. She gave us grandsons and he gave us granddtrs. Dtr is a school nurse for exceptional mentally and physically handicapped children and is married to a retired Navy career man. Son is an OTR truck driver and is married to an early childhood education teacher. Both kids went in the Marine Corp out of high school. My husband retired in 1996 after 30 yrs with IBM and took up OTR truck driving, driving teams with his son to the west coast, . Hes retired on total disability now as he hasn't been able to work since 2004 after being injured in his truck. I work 6 days a wk as an accountant. No matter what I've done over the years, I always end up in the office doing the books. It seems like no matter how I try to back off and take life a little easier, someone always needs my help and I always find a wa...Expand for more
y to work it into my schedule. We lived in Oklahoma twice over the years; we were at Ft. Sill a few yrs and 10 in Tulsa and while there, I worked 3 yrs for Oral Roberts nephew. Still love my animals, 4 cats & 2 dogs. We moved back East to Lancaster County PA in 1984 and I've been looking for some of my classmates from Deposit JSHS & Binghamton North High--classes of 1966-1967. Even though I graduated from CV, I never really knew the kids there. It seemed then the only person in my life was the guy I was going to marry. Does anyone know what happened to Donna Fowler, my best friend from Deposit? No idea what her married name would be. If anyone comes across my portrait painted by one of the seniors as a college entrance requirement, please send me an email. It was a big, at least 16x20, painted in oils and I was wearing a light silvery colored dress that had blue and green designs & trim on it. I think the girl's name that painted it was Nancy, but can't find my yearbook. She would have been from the class of 62 or 63. I figure the painting wouldn't mean anything to anyone after all these years and I'd like to have it.
