Beverly's Story
Have become recently widowed. My spouse of 44 years has passed away and left behind a daughter, son and granddaughter. Not to mention a loyal wife who for the past 8 years has been his constant companion/caregiver.
Retired from a utility Co. in 2002, after 20 dedicated years. Am fortunate to have fairly good health and energy. Still don't feel the desire to continue with some of the activities I use to enjoy.....gardening, cooking etc. Maybe in time that desire will return.
Would like to hear from others who maybe have had a spousal loss and can share coping tools.
I love to laugh and enjoy spending quality time with my granddaughter who I try to see as often as possible....I am in CA ......she lives in NM with my Daughter and Son-in-Law.......my greatest thrill is being able to hear my granddaughters lovely singing voice....I hope she will pursue her dream...Expand for more
s....she is very talented.
My favorite way to relax is to find a good movie or documentary on TV.
The one person from my past who I'd most like to see again is Celia Espinoza, because she was a true friend.
The teachers in High School who inspired me the most were my English teacher....Mrs. Sawyer and Mr. Cook....my Choir teacher.
If I won $100 million, I'd give some of it to friends, then spend the rest on my son, daughter and the rest of my family.
My current age is 66. When I was 12, I thought that people my age now would be old. I was so completely and gratefully surprised to see that I wasn't entirely correct.
My best friend would tell you I'm sensitive, but people who don't know me very well would probably describe me as strong.
I like to be rather stylish...I believe that all you do to help you look better, in the end helps you to feel better about yourself.
