Beverly's Story

Life I have been very fortunate in my life. I married a wonderful man. We raised two beautiful children and have four beautiful granddaughters. After living and rasing my family in Dallas, in 2010 my husband, my mom and I moved to Louisiana so he could find a job. While Dallas could get hot, down here when its 96 outside, it feels like 107. Oh, and do not go outside after dark....you end up looking like you got the measels. I have had a very interesting work life where I met two governors of Texas, two U.S. Senators, worked for the former owner of the Cowboys and met the current owner and his wife when they bought the Cowboys. found out what happened when he was stood up for a lunch appointment. Worked for a multi-million dollor corporation at it highest point and saw as it decline. Worked for a company that was stable for 20 years and go under due to bad management. I worked for a company that had just opended its doors two weeks before I joined them in 2003, helped start its accounting department, watched it grow to over 100 employees and then go bankrupt in 2010 due to the owners improper handling. I was blessed with the ability to care for my father the last 13 months of his life and am currently caring for my mother who is 90 now. Although there were hardships, there is nothing I would change.
