Beverly's Story
Life
I am still living in Minerva and Rich and I are still married. It will be 49 years this June. I really don't know how that happened. lol. We are both retired and do a lot of traveling. We have 4 grandchildren. Three girls and 1 boy. We are now great grandparents to a darling little girl, Sophee Grace. My youngest granddaughter is a senior this year and she will graduate on May 25th. which is 50 years to the day that I graduated. She also is a cheerleader and they have been State Champs for two years. Rich is helping coach the girls softball team and we enjoy following all the sports here in Minerva. Life has been good to us and our girls. In case anybody didn't know we had 2 daughters. They both still live in Minerva. Course in Minerva. We owned it for 30 years and then we all sold out to Rich's brother Steve. I've worked in an Insurance office, retail and we ran Lee Ann's Restautant for about 6 years to help pay for building of the golf course. Life hasn't been dull around here. Rich has worked two jobs since we have been married. One was Minerva Wax Paper who later became James River Corp. and the building of the golf course. We have been retired now for about 9 years and love it. I still play cards with girls I graduated with and just thank God every day for another day. Hope life had been good to you and may God Bless any who reads this. We are planning our 50th class reunion. It will be Aug. 16th at Great Trail Tee House her in Minerva.
