Beverly's Story
With neither one of us working, we are stay-at-home grandma and grandpa here in Shorewood. I was known as being very shy but am now very social. I am happily the survivor of several rounds with cancer, the first at 24 and I am like a Timex watch-take a lickin' and keep on tickin'. I am proud of all my children who are successful personally and professionally despite my failings as a mother, but those failings have made me an awesome grandma. e internet though I am computer illiterate for all intents and purposes. I am enjoying getting together with a group of old classmates about once a month and we always welcome any other old Pirates just contact me about wheres and whens. Like Kathy Ericson, one of our classmates said, "It doesn't matter if we have gained weight, lost hair or whatever-the important thing is we have survived and that is reason enough to get together more than every ten years" All I can say is "Amen" and come and join us.
