Life
Hobby is doing Genealogy and building Doherty.Pike,Stickney,Callaghan family tree. Married 63 yrs.Nov. 21,2016, been in Chicago .Sub. .Palos Park 41 yrs., retired. Do a lot of trips. 2 daughters , 5 grandchildren and 11/9/04 a great grandson 2004 and now a great granddaughter 2008 and now another great grandson 2009. Oopps another great grandaughter born April 2016. Don't get to Garden City much since brother Bob died in 1998. Quit bowling some yrs, ago.Pictures are 1948 G.C.High 10th grade. and 2005 on cruise or as dated on comments.. Will be adding photos from early 1940's and G.C in late 40's and early 50's. Worked 36 years at a Nat.Lab. My gig was /is electronics. Carry R.E.Brokers lic. since 1974. Not renewing my licenses in 2008. No time. Collected sports cards during the 90's and getting rid of them now. Just sold 300,000 commons on ebay. When the buyer got here he saw what I had and bought another 325,000 cards. ation they are correct. I went to Garden City High School 9th & 10th .That was 1946/47 & 47/48 Started at Wayne High for 11th but did not like so quit. I lived out of district so was not allowed to attend Fordson or Lowery. Took GED while in service and had the results transferred to G.C.High It happened to turn out the class of 1953.I did OK for a H.S. drop out. But I did continue my education and have a couple of degrees. My gig was electronics and worked at a National Lab. operated by University of Chicago funded by DOE. Retired after 36 years. Spent early years 1951/57 at Wayne County Engineering Dept. before moving to Chicago where I have been since Oct 1957. Spent a year at Industrial Wire Co. in Wayne 1950/51. Didn't like that. Grand daughter Rebecca willhave baby boy in Mar.2021. Our 5th great grand child. We sized down in May 2018 .Now live in condo in Palos Heights ,Il. ( Oak Hills Country Estates , It's on a golf course.)
