Bill's Story
After graduation and knocking around Jersey for a month or so I went to Woodstock. Wow! I was there for over a week. After a brief stay in Florida and Ohio I made it to California in October of 1970. The west coast has been my home ever since, although I have travelled throughout the US and Canada on business over the years till now.
I spent the 70's "finding myself" studying various "gurus" and "sciences". I acquired a wife and son, considerable knowledge of the building trades, a construction business, a daughter and the usual trappings of success. We split up mid 80's and I vowed to remain single from there on out...ha!
I met my current wife in '89. We've survived 2 major earthquakes, record snowfall, forest fires, gully-washing flash floods and we still finish each other's sentences. She is a Corporate ...Expand for more
Recruiting Director for a major clothing chain. We live in the San Francisco Bay area. The kids are grown and gone and doing well.
In 2001 I suffered a broken back and paralyzing spinal cord injury in a fall from a collapsing scaffold. After 3 years of rehab, learning to walk again, and working hard on my own I am quite functional these days. Although forced into early retirement I still remain active and continue working on my rehabilitation.
I'm sure many of you don't remember me as I was a transplant to New Jersey during high school and did not come up through the lower grades with you. Although I lived in Jersey only a few years it did shape me and the way I saw the world very much, and mostly in a positive way. (Thank you Mr. Biondi)
