“Time keeps on slipping, slipping into the future.” Another very long hot smoky summer has passed. Almost a bad dream as I watched hundreds of thousands of acres of timber go up in smoke. Job security I suppose, but the damage is irreparable due to continued high temperatures and drought. I still plan on squeezing out another year on Teton Helitack but have been toying with the idea of being a wilderness ranger for the USFS and hiking in the Wind River Mountains and doing helicopter managing as needed.
