Bill's Story
I graduated from Valley in 1959 and went to Parsons College in Fairfield, Iowa that fall for my first year of college.
I then joined the National Guard and entered 6 month's basic training in Aug 60. Got out in Feb, 1960, moved to Denver, got married, had a son, worked like hell and went back to college, Denver University, in fall of 1964. Opened a record store in the fall of 1965 right next to the CU (Colorado University) campus (Boulder) in the fall of 1965 (closed it in 1967). Entered the insurance business in 1967 and formed my own independent agency in 1972. In 1978 I formed a company in Dallas, TX to market single family homes to investors. Returned to the insurance business in 1987 and to Denver in 1989. Lived in both CO and TX until 1998.
I have lived in the Boulder, CO area since 1998 (when I retired). I have 2 other sons born in 1966 and 1970. They also live in the Boulder area. I have 3 grandsons and 2 granddaughters. I live on a lake about 20 miles northeast of Boulder (since 2003).
