Bill's Story
Bill Wilhelm passed away on April 10, 2009 of cancer. He was married for 26 years to Caryn (Rummler) Wilhelm. They had 2 wonderful children, a boy named after Bill who is now graduated from college and is a Computer Animator, and a girl, Cambria Marie, who has been married for three years and is currently going to university for a marketing major.
Cambria gave birth to Bill's first grandchild, a girl, the day after his funeral. We like to think they met in heaven - with her leaving for earth and him arriving to be with his Savior, Jesus Christ.
Bill was a successful man in many ways. He owned his own business in Cedar City, Utah, for 16 years - a transmission shop that provided well for his family. He worked with youth in our church and in Boy Scouting. He mentored many young peopl...Expand for more
e and was a friend to everyone he met. His wit and sense of humor were famous in our little community, as was his giving and compassion for others.
Bill was the last person you would think would get sick. He lived a very active and healthy life. He loved the outdoors and had many hobbies that kept him outside during all the seasons of the year... duck hunting, golfing, fishing, rock climbing, surfing, skin diving, wake boarding, snow boarding, etc.
If you knew/know Bill, go ahead and leave a message for him. I'm sure he'll be aware of it. He hasn't gone too far away. Heaven, for me, is not a distant place. There is just a thin veil that separates us from our loved ones who have gone before us. We can't see them, but they are there beside us, helping us through this trial of a life.
