Billie's Story
It is impossible to know if any living soul would remember me from Hollywood High School. And...if remembered, would care to read this. My memories are my own. Some good, ( sweet dear friend Diane Fugate and Barbara Baughman, among a few others) some memories are so awful I have blocked them from my mind.
I went through the entire Hollywood High Student list from 1960-65.I sat mesmerized as I repeated the names aloud to myself. I then tried to recall the person whose name seemed even the slightest bit familiar to me.
Whenever there was a picture I clicked on it and found it was hopeless to recognize anyone from the past.
And, I thought I looked so young for my age but it seems that I too would be unrecognizable.
After leaving school I worked as a dancer and singer in Las Vegas(fully clothed) I met and married a singer/song writer, thus the name Crofts. As a career I went into music publishing which I still continue to do. ...Expand for more
We had 3 unbelievable kids and now I am the grandmother of 5. Ohmygawd, we are indeed the older generation. I was fortunate enough to have given birth to children who, despite their mothers lack of capacity, have turned out beautifully.
I have lived in different parts of the world, from time to time, but have now settled in Nashville. Who would have thought I could or would live in "fly over country." It's really great here and my grandchildren have all been born in the South; however they are forbidden to say "I'm fixin' to leave." I still travel a lot and love going to different parts of the world. I've indeed been blessed.
I must say that it has been fun looking through the names of the kids I went to school with, or am I suppose to say "with whom I went to school?" I can never seem to get that grammar straight without sounding as if I am using a Madonna-Like- British-Accent. ...
