Billie R.'s Story
After high school, I went to THE A&M (in College Station, of course) and was an Aerospace Engineering Major. Left to get married in Corpus, then divorced and back to College Station. Aero was tough, so I changed to Engineering Technology-Safety. Still didn't graduate, but went to Blinn College and took Law Enforcement. Got married again for a few years, then divorced again. Jeesh, kinda of a habit now. ha In 1983, I got married again for the last time and then in Jan 1985, I became a Police Officer in Hearne, made Patrol Sgt after a few years, and stayed a total of about 6 years before getting hired at Port Aransas PD in Oct 1990. went to work at Sam's Club overnight receiving, stayed about 6 years and retired early. I now do woodwork, almost exclusively scroll-saw work. It's just a hobby, but I do sell my work. Check me out on Facebook.
That was a long road, and a Hell of a ride, but worth every mile, I reckon. I have 5 children, 11 grand-kids, and 2 great grand-kids. I am still in love with my wife, although I don't know why she keeps me around. Almost didn't a few times! She's as stubborn as I am, I guess. Probably for the woodwork! Actually, BECAUSE of the woodwork, I leave her alone! hahaha
That's about it in a large nutshell. Anyone can check out my Facebook page. Send me a message and I'll get back with you fairly quick.
Everyone take care and let's get back in touch through this modern technology, since it's so much easier than the old ways.
Sincerely,
An Old Timer, born 100 years too late.
