Billy's Story
Thankfully, I graduated in 1960 and after working during the summer at Jackson Lake in Jackson, Georgia (where I had an opportunity to experience the real country life) I went to The University of Alabama where I played in the "Million Dollar Band", the "Cavaliers" dance band, the Birmingham Symphony, and the Southeastern Composers Forum. 994 (early) and worked for a while with the Delta Communications subsidiary. For the next three years I was my wife's trip driver for her North Carolina and Tennessee business trips (she was regional HR Mgr). Then we bought some acreage in the country where I have since played mini-farmer and golf lover. It obviously worked and now everyone that receives the 3 lead ICD (implanted cardiac device) gets an updated version of the prototype that saved my life. A couple of years ago I participated in yet another life saving device with an implant in my heart of the "Watchman" device. You can see the watchman video on YouTube. It has been a little exciting at times in my life and I thank God for it.
