Blair's Story
Life, It's 2020......
Born in Ottawa... Lived there most of my life although I've traveled Canada, the US, Mexico and parts of Europe so far. Living in Paris, France for 4 years 2006 - 2010 allowed for a lot of travel in Europe on the cheap...
Worked various jobs in the Ottawa area with Bell Canada, Mitel Corporation, and Canada Post for the most part. Don't miss it much.... Started growing my hair again after retiring, never did like those bloody haircuts even as a child.... the hair is about half way down my back as I write this, but I wear it tied back and out of the way, some things never change...
Have been married to Alyson Gaffney for the past 31 years and we have two boys James aged 29 lives in Edmonton and Lyndsey aged 25 lives in Ottawa.
I was an avid hockey player (over 40 style) for 20+ years as a goalie which loved dearly but had to quit after 9 knee surgeries the latest one being a left knee replacement. As a result I'm likely 20 pounds heavier than I should be but what the hell... at some point it'll go away...Expand for more

Now living it up at the cottage permanently just outside Calabogie on the lake, after selling our house in Manotick. I spend time fishing, building electric guitars, tending the vegetable garden and chief cook and bottle washer, I have a vodka martini at 4PM every day just for the hell of it, then a bit of red wine with dinner and just having a good time. I'm still trying to write a book, but it's not going too well, I still write some poetry as I did in high school, I'm still trying to learn to play guitar, I'm still easily frustrated and usually quit and have to start over again later, (at this point in life I think I might have ADD with all of the failed efforts at trying to do some things over my life). I enjoy reading reading fiction, scifi, watching movies and listening to just about any kind of music. but crap like rap or anything like it!!!!!
As always, anyone wanting to contact me for a chat to catch up it would be welcome, it would be nice to touch base with folks after so many years.
