Life After Graduation it was off to college and one short year after leaving Lakeshore, Joann Kultala (Class of 72) and I were married. We celebrate our 38th anniversary in June 2012. I finished GMI with an ME/EE Engineering Degree, and was off to Harvard for an MBA. Boston was great and an interesting change from life in Michigan. We lived in the "suburbs" of Boston (Arlington Heights and Waltham) and learned about Mass Transit and crazy driving. We enjoyed the history, culture, music, weather, etc. Back to GM in Michigan, and an intended brief tour of the Manufacturing side of the business. Twenty years later I was leading the Manufacturing Engineering group in Powertrain Assembly after having been in just about every job one can hold in a manufacturing organization. In the interim, Joann and I began a "hobby" showing pedigree cats in the Cat Fancier's Association. A salted peanut that lasted from 1985 to 2001 and led us to leading the Breed Council for over ten years, showing two cats to National Wins, ten Distinguished Merit cats, over 60 Grands, and a respected breeder o...Expand for more
