Bob's Story
Life
I attended St Pete Jr and transferred to USF after high school. My off time while not in school was running main frame computers for the city of Tampa for six years. In the late 70 s I moved to Atlanta Georgia and went back into computers for a short period of time for NDC. In December of 1979 I joined the city of Atlanta Police Department. I worked uniform patrol car in the city projects and transferred to central downtown Atlanta on the midnight shift. After 3 years of this I transferred to motorcycles high crime foot patrol 10:00 am to 6:00 shift again in the central downtown area. Half of my 3 year tour was working out of uniform working the street level, the top of 40 story buildings city cabs vans flim flams, bank robberies, serial criminals i e rapists office creepers pick pockets etc. In 01-01-86 I transferred to DeKalb County police department and again unifrom patrol southern part of the county. sferred two years later to auto theft for 3 years and transferred to robbery homicide for nine years going on ten. I later transferred to the DeKalb Medical Examiner's office as a death investigator or what people call CSI on TV. I preformed this task for the next four years. I retired from the county 2005 and work for myself now contracting to work on local homes.
Workplace
WELL I GUESS WORKING ON HOUSES WAS NOT ENOUGH, SOOOO I JOINED A NEW CITY POLICE DEPARTMENT CALLED SANDY SPRINGS. THEY NEEDED A NEW POLICE DEPARTMENT AND I THOUGHT WELL, WHY NOT. THIS WILL BE THE THIRD POLICE DEPARTMENT, NOT COUNTING THE DEKALB M E OFFICE (CSI) SO I HAVE HAD 3 NEW POLICE CARS AND TWO DIFFERENT NEW HANDGUNS, LIKE I REALLY EVEN LIKE GUNS TO BEGIN WITH. IN THIS LAW ENFORCEMENT DEPARTMENT THEY JUST LOOOOVE THEIR GUNS AND CARS, DO YOU THINK. BACK WORKING IN CID, WILL UPDATE LATER, THEY SEEM TO HAVE SOME CRIME IN THIS BEAUTIFULL CITY.
