More about Bob:"I'm back home looking for gigs!!!
I was studying at the Pacific NW Film Scoring Program in Seattle.I relocated from Upstate New York where I was studying at the College of St, Rose,Graduate classes in Music Law,Pro Tools 101,Jazz Guitar & Ensemble with Jack Fragomini and Advance Music Theory. Some of my skills include teaching Piano and Guitar,Solo Guitar Performances ranging from Classical to Contemporary/Popular music.I've worked in Ensemble:classical guitar quartets, jazz and modern Rock bands. My goals and aspirations include composing music for film and working in other related occupations in making music for film such as orchestration, conducting, electronic scoring, copyist and music assistant.Guitar,Guitar and more Guitar music!
My first professional guitar recording experience started with Mona Golub and Second Wind Productions.Mona gave me an opportunity to release some of my classical guitar solo pieces. The album was called Light Touch. My interest in recording and composing started in 1985 and became a reality in 1990 because of Mona Golub's generosity and genuine love for music. So in all honesty this all started because my Mom and Dad believed in my talent when I wasn't entirely sure I had any.My Mom,Ann DiNardo gave Mona my first home studio cassette recording. It was all guitar works some originals and some standard classical repitore pieces. After that I became more and more obsessed with music and traveling.
I eventually went back to school to study classical/contemporary composition at the University of Arizona.I w...Expand for more
as restless and moved around on almost a yearly basis from 1995-1997.I eventually ended up where I had always wanted to settle down,Seattle Washington.I loved living in Seattle.During my long 'stay' in Seattle, I gave guitar and piano lessons, worked for a couple years at a music store and recorded two albums with the rock band, Nature Boy Saints.Playing electric guitar with a band was the best experience I ever had as a performing guitarist.I learned a lot about serving the music and not my guitar ego.During that time I also performed my guitar compositions at cafes and coffee shops.Seattle was very inspiring.
I came back to Schenectady, New York in 2005.I was studying at the College of St. Rose, and I took some graduate classes in their Music Technology program. This is where I discovered the guitar genius,Jack Fragomini. Jack is the best teacher I've ever studied with.I only took about 30 hours of lessons with Mr. Fragomini, and that is when my enthusiasm for music returned.Still, it took some time before I picked up the guitar or pen again.Something was missing and so I went back to Seattle Washington. In 2007 through 2009 I studied at the Pacific Northwest Film Scoring Program in Seattle, Washington. It was a humbling and eye opening experience. The program is amazing and I'd recommended it to anyone who is serious about film scoring.I didn't finish the program but I'm still using what I learned in the first three semesters. Hummie Mann, the director for Pacific Northwest Film Scoring Program,is an amazing composer, teacher and human being. All of the theory, and music composing information he passed on can be used in every aspect of music.
I've been in Schenectady, New York, since August of 2010.I had taken a five year break from performing professionally. I've been working on my recording, composing and performance skills.I will have some more music and videos to share with the public in January 2013.I'll be performing and available for Guitar,Piano and Music lessons starting January 1st 2013.
Sincerely,
Bob DiNardo".
