Bob's Story
Bob is a native of Rock Spring in Pitt County, NC (NW of Greenville) and lives in Matthews, North Carolina (suburban Charlotte). Bob is married to Sylvia Lorenz Forbes from Berlin, Germany. Bob's schools include Rose High School, NC State University (BS in Civil Engineering) and Univ. of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (MS in Environmental Engineering). Bob's main professional interest is the recovery of energy and nutrients from biomass. His hobbies include fishing, bird-watching, gardening, and music of all types. Bob has a stepson, Sean Earhart, living in Melbourne, Australia, another stepson, Robert Arms, living in Pittsburgh, and a son, Nathan Forbes, currently a student at NCSU in Raleigh, majoring in electrical engineering and music. He also has 4 step-grandchildren who team up to keep him going and feeling young.
